Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior UX/UI Designer to join our team at Forward Earth. The ideal candidate is a full-stack designer with a strong emphasis on UX, capable of owning the entire design process—from user research and wireframing to UI design. This role is essential in ensuring our web-based SaaS products deliver user experiences that align with our mission to simplify and accelerate carbon management for midsized companies globally.

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ll wear many hats—reflecting our early-stage nature. This is an exciting opportunity to be deeply involved in shaping the product and influencing its direction. You’ll take ownership of our design tech stack and collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams. While there are no direct managerial responsibilities at the start, this role has the potential to evolve into a leadership position as the company grows.

Core Objectives:

• Full-Stack Design: Lead and drive the design process across research, UX, and UI.
• Ownership: Manage and optimize the design tech stack to meet the evolving needs of our product and engineering teams.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure designs are functional, visually appealing, and aligned with business goals.
• User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and continually enhance the user experience.
• Iteration: Refine and improve product designs based on feedback, data analysis, and stakeholder input.
• Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep our design approach cutting-edge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead UX/UI design efforts across all aspects of our web-based SaaS products.
• Take full ownership of the design process, from user research to wireframing, prototyping, and UI design.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, in an Agile environment.
• Support user research, usability testing, and data analysis to drive design decisions and improve product usability.
• Manage and optimize our design tools and tech stack, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Continuously explore new design methodologies and technologies to enhance the user experience.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in UX/UI design, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding UX for SaaS products. A strong portfolio showcasing your work across the full design spectrum is required.
• Tools: Proficiency in Figma and other relevant design tools, with experience managing and optimizing a design tech stack.
• Collaboration: Success in collaborating effectively with engineers and working within Agile processes. Clear communication skills, able to articulate design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your experience in designing SaaS products, with case studies highlighting your approach to UX design.
